During long-term use, vertical machining centers may encounter various problems. In order to achieve more effective use and efficient processing, we have summarized the following common issues:
1. Workpiece overcutting:
The external causes of workpiece overcutting are generally insufficient tool strength or inappropriate size. The internal causes may be due to improper operation by the operator, or improper cutting parameter settings or uneven cutting allowance settings, resulting in excessive tolerances. This ultimately leads to workpiece overcutting and machining errors.
Solution: When adding a corner cleaning program, leave as much margin as possible and use the tool as much as possible. Use the SF function of the vertical machining center to fine tune the degree gradually to achieve the best cutting effect.
2. Not allowed to divide:
Splitting is the step of determining the origin of a machining center, and it can be said that any operation using a machining center cannot be separated from this step. In addition to inaccurate manual operation by the operator, burrs around the mold, non perpendicularity on all four sides, and magnetic separation of the dividing rod can all cause inaccurate separation.
Solution: Before dividing the mold, the machining center should first demagnetize the dividing rod; Manual operation in the middle should be checked repeatedly, and the middle should be kept at the same point and height as much as possible; Regularly check whether the four sides of the mold are vertical by checking the calibration table.
3. Collision:
Collision is inevitable now, but as qualified operators of machining centers, they should have the ability to control the factors of collision within an avoidable range. There are various factors that can cause collisions, so we must control them in advance to avoid them.
Solution: Reasonably set the safety height; Adjust the tool length and actual machining depth on the CNC program sheet to the appropriate position, and verify the depth Z-axis reading with the actual Z-axis reading; Verify the accuracy of coordinate settings during programming.
The above factors can all be avoided, so the operators of vertical machining centers need to repeatedly check the data to confirm accuracy when performing manual operations.
