Initially, they were introduced from abroad and later underwent technological digestion and absorption, leading to the gradual rise of domestic brands. Vertical machining centers can complete processes such as milling, boring, drilling, threading, and cutting threads.

Generally speaking, machining centers are relatively large. The volume of a 1580 large machining center is about 4m * 3m, and the common 850 model is also around 2.5m * 2.5m;

The size of mold carving and milling machines is much smaller, usually around 2m * 2m. Of course, in recent years, there have also been many large gantry carving and milling machines, such as Xintenghui's 1280 carving and milling machine, which has a relatively large external size.

The machining center adopts a vertical structure, which is suitable for heavy cutting.

The spindle speed of machining centers is generally around 8000 revolutions per minute. In recent years, with the rise of the product processing industry, high-speed machining centers have also emerged, and the speed of such machining centers can reach 12000-15000 revolutions per minute. The spindle speed of mold carving and milling machines is generally over 20000 revolutions per minute, with a minimum speed of 15000 revolutions per minute. The characteristic of this spindle is that it is suitable for precision machining, and its cutting ability is not as good as that of machining centers.
